The Story of CHSI
Report from the founder: This past holiday season I had the opportunity to travel to Ziguinchor in Senegal (West Africa). I went through an eye-opening experience when I fell ill and visited Hopital De La Paix.
During my visit I was devastated to see how this hospital was operating without essential equipment they need to treat patients. Though the staff are very qualified and experts in their fields they lacked the basic supplies they need to provide relief and comfort to many ill patients.
What captured my heart even more is how patient centric this hospital is, and I was treated free of charge.
After I return to the USA, I called some close friends that I knew for long time and whom have and share the same aspiration to help the depleted Casamance healthcare system.
With that mission in mind the five members met and founded Casamance Healthcare Systems Inc on August 18, 2020. Later, on January 12, 2021, CHSI received its 501(C3) status with its EIN: 85-2987249.
Our mission
1) Equip Casamance hospital facilities from the USA via partners such as Project CURE,
2) Build our own clinics in the future.
Casamance HealthCare Systems Inc (CHSI), by means of these convoys of medical equipment and consumables intends not only to raise the medical platform of Senegal but also to later expand its to the sub-region.
